The Gongland Universe Gong is a handcrafted, symphonic-style gong with a wide sound range, from deep, grounding tones to shimmering, mysterious overtones. It has a strong, radiant voice and a beautiful spread of sound, which makes it a powerful choice for sound baths, meditation work, and professional gong practice.

Each Universe Gong is made in Germany by Rolf Nitsch, founder of Gongland. Before creating Gongland, Rolf spent more than 20 years training and working with Paiste, building deep expertise in gong making over decades. That experience comes through in the balance, response, and musicality of these instruments.

The Universe model is known for its distinctive radially scraped finish and its cosmic-looking colour around the outer edge, giving it a striking visual presence as well as a broad, expressive tone. Gongland dealers also describe these as premium nickel silver gongs, with Rolf personally maintaining a very high standard before any gong leaves the workshop.
