A different kind of retreat
The Sound and Silence Retreat is a weekend of sound, silence and rest at Hollyford. It is separate from our practitioner training.
Dates
Every course, workshop and retreat with a date, in order. Each card books that date. Sound baths and cacao evenings live on the sound bath schedule.
A two and a half hour evening workshop for sound practitioners who want to improve their gong skills, Wednesday 4 November, 6pm to 8:30pm. Hands-on practice with guidance from Éanna at the studio in Raheen. Eight places.
Level 3 of the Practitioner Diploma in Sound Medicine, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November, 10am to 6pm. For students who have completed Level 2. Book the full €499 or hold your place with a €249 deposit. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the weekend. Transfers require at least 14 days notice.
Make your own shamanic drum and beater with Duane and Vanessa from Spirit Drums of the North, at the studio in Raheen. Lunch and refreshments are included. Spirit Drums take the bookings directly: a €50 deposit holds your place (non-refundable). Message them on WhatsApp to book, or to ask about drum sizes and prices.
A full day of hands-on gong training at the studio in Raheen, Saturday 28 November, 10am to 6pm. Safe playing technique, volume control, pacing, different gongs and mallets, and practical ways to work with the gong. Open to everyone, whether you are new to the gong or already use sound in your own work. All gongs and mallets are provided.
Two days of hands-on sound healing training at the studio in Limerick, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, 10am to 6pm. No experience needed and every instrument is provided. Pay a €249 deposit now and the €200 balance 14 days before the weekend. Fundamentals online is included, with access sent as soon as you book.
Level 2 of the Practitioner Diploma in Sound Medicine, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January 2027, 10am to 6pm. For students who have completed Level 1. Good to know
No. Level 1 and Gong Foundations are built for complete beginners, and the Sound and Silence Retreat asks only that you can lie down and rest. Level 2 needs Level 1, and Level 3 needs Level 2.
Yes. Each level runs at different points through the year. Take the next level when a date suits you. To transfer an existing booking, give us at least 14 days notice; transfers are subject to availability.
The Practitioner Diploma in Sound Medicine is accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).
For the diploma certificate, yes. Take our online course for €129, or use a recognised qualification you already hold. You can start it after Level 1.

The €249 deposit is non-refundable if you cancel your place. Your deposit and any balance already paid can be transferred to another date for the same level, subject to availability, when you give us at least 14 days notice before the weekend starts. Transfers are not available with less than 14 days notice.
We work in small groups with paired practice, so late changes are difficult to accommodate. Please email harmony@revival.ie as soon as you know you need to change your date. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Level 1 is your foundation: an introduction to sound, frequencies and instruments, with a Foundation Certificate. It is suitable for personal learning and is the first step towards practitioner training. Level 1 alone does not qualify you as a professional sound medicine practitioner or facilitator. For that, you need to complete the full diploma and its assessment requirements.
