The 80 cm Chau gong, also known as a Tam Tam, is a large, commanding instrument. Played softly it gives shimmering textures that drift across the room. Give it a full strike and it answers with a thunderous crash and long, rolling sustain that fills the space completely. It is handcrafted in China using traditional methods.
Those deep, rolling vibrations make it a natural centrepiece for sound baths, group sessions and orchestral work alike.
- Size: 80 cm / 32 inches
- Style: Chau / Tam Tam gong
- Sound: thunderous and powerful, with shimmering overtones and long resonance
