Thank you for reading The Singing Bowl. Everything mentioned at the back of the book is on this page.
The Revival Harmony app
If you skip everything else on this page, get the tuner.
It listens through your phone and tells you the pitch of whatever you are playing. Bowls, forks, gongs, anything. Read it as notes or as frequencies, with the reference pitch set to 440, 432, 444, or whatever you work in. Nothing is recorded and nothing is transmitted. It happens on the phone and stays there.
The rest of the app is for your own practice rather than your sessions. A five minute frequency meditation that keeps a private record of how each frequency lands for you. A nineteen minute sound bath recorded live in one take, plus twelve longer layered sessions. Frequencies from 174 Hz to 963 Hz. Binaural beats. Stackable ambient layers. Breathing patterns. A warm red sleep screen.
No accounts, no advertising, no analytics. It collects nothing. Everything you save stays on your phone.
iPhone and iPad. Free.

Training
The Practitioner Diploma in Sound Medicine is three weekends. You start with the Foundation Weekend, which stands on its own and asks nothing of you beyond itself. If you carry on, it becomes the first of the three. Accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine and recognised for professional insurance.
The Harmony Immersion is four days and three nights in wooden cabins in the Tipperary countryside. It is the other route to the diploma, and it is also just a retreat, if that is what you need.
One day workshops run through the year, including a full day on the gong.
There are self-paced online courses as well, if you are not in Ireland.
Instruments
Gongs, crystal and metal bowls, drums, handpans, chimes, and the odd thing that does not fit a category.
There is also the Sound Exchange, a noticeboard for second-hand instruments. If you have just read Part Five and you are thinking about mallets, start there rather than with another gong.
If the book was useful
Two things, and both help more than you would think.
Tag @revivalharmony. If you take the book somewhere, a studio, a training room, a field, I would like to see it.
Leave a review. The book has no publisher behind it and no advertising budget. Reviews are the whole of how it reaches the next practitioner.

Occasional emails about courses, instruments and what is being built. Nothing else.
