The Scala Vilagio Waterphone Bass is a masterfully handcrafted instrument made in Germany with exceptional precision. Constructed from durable stainless steel and fitted with finely welded brass rods, it produces rich, deep, and fluid tones that shift and evolve as water moves inside the chamber.
Played by striking, plucking, or bowing, the instrument reveals haunting, resonant layers reminiscent of ocean depths and distant whale calls. Its sound can be shaped by tilting the body, creating expressive movement and natural pitch variation with every performance.
Positioned between the Basic and Megabass models, the 35 cm Bass offers a perfect balance of portability and depth, delivering powerful low frequencies with long sustain while remaining compact enough for travel or intimate sound healing sessions.
