Scala Vilagio Waterphone Megabass 40cm
The Scala Vilagio Waterphone Megabass is the deep end of the waterphone family. Handmade in Germany from stainless steel with precisely welded brass rods, it produces haunting, otherworldly tones that move and bend as the water shifts inside the chamber. Strike, pluck or bow the rods for resonant, whale-like calls and shimmering harmonics, and tilt the body to shape the pitch as you go, so no two performances are ever the same.
Loved in film scoring, sound healing and experimental music, the Megabass gives extra deep resonance and long sustain, which is why it is the model many professional musicians and sound practitioners reach for. It can be played with many different tools, and a bow is recommended (not included).
